"Another historic breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain agree to a Peace Deal," Donald Trump gloated.
With less than two months to go before the US election, Mr Trump appears to be trying absolutely everything to dent Joe Biden's lead in nationwide polls and swing states.
Not content with brokering a deal between Israel and the UAE, he brought another Gulf state into the American sphere of influence on Friday night as he announced another peace deal.
On Monday, he took aim at the military-industrial complex when he said leaders at the Pentagon “want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy.”
He then retweeted several prominent leftists on the issue, including Glenn Greenwald.

While the first debate is still more than two weeks away, it makes sense that Mr Trump is trying to make his pitch to American centrists and leftist anti-interventionists.
Early voting has already begun, and that means that any single passing day could represent missed voters that already put their ballot in the mail.
